Welcome to our website. We're honored you would stop by and take a look!

We are living in a time when there is SO much misinformation, disinformation, and out right lying/deception...it can make one wonder, "who can I believe, or what can I believe"? Then you throw in the upheaval that’s happening around the world and even within our own nation, it’s no wonder people are feeling unsettled and fearful. I can assure you of this, it is our commitment to serve you with the word of God to encourage you, strengthen you, equip you, challenge you, tell you the truth in love, and help you go deeper in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

We will keep posting messages and teachings here…I would like to encourage you to check out our Facebook page as well - Harvest Church Omaha - to stay up to date with training and equipping and the latest sermons. My friend, I want you to know, we want to create a place for you to come and worship with us and encounter Jesus. He will empower you so your light can shine in this dark world. Our service times are at 9 am and 11 am. At this time, we only offer children’s ministry during the 11am service.

I want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus.  You are in His hands and He will never fail you! Please know you are loved! May God bless you and draw close to you as you draw close to Him!

A Note of Encouragement

Kristin and I have made many plans over the years, including making immature, bold statements of “I’ll never……”  We laugh now, as He has made it His plan to ask us to do all the things we said we would never do. Hopefully this little bit of humor has put a smile on your face. Maybe you can relate?

However, in all honesty, He has asked us to do some hard things over the past few years. One of those things we said we would never do is home school our two youngest children. We are not teachers by training, we do not feel qualified, at times it is quite inconvenient, and we definitely have no idea what we are doing (Ha ha - don’t tell our kids!!). But more than any of these things, we love our kids and want what is best for them.

Together, we are learning to embrace the fact that Jesus calls us to growth (also called fruit) through challenges. Most of the time we feel unqualified or inadequate, or a host of other reasons and excuses. Have you noticed in the scriptures that He doesn’t seem to care about qualification levels? He’s just looking for pure obedience, which defined in our home as “quickly and with a happy heart”? He looked at King David’s shepherd heart, called to the prophet Samuel as a young boy, and gathered 12 very unlikely disciples to follow him. The reality is that the outcome of what He is asking us to do is not ours to understand or even ensure that it comes to fruition.

I am reminded of Job (Job 38) “Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said: 'Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man: I will question you, and you shall answer me. Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?'” You can read the rest for yourself - it gives me goose bumps every time. This speaks to God’s greatness, His understanding, His purposefulness in our lives and yours. Nothing in your life is done without purpose. Be encouraged that he is always working with a heavenly purpose!

Blessings.

The Word of God is powerful and active! To memorize the Word is a discipline…and a good one at that! Psalm 119:11 - "Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You." When you memorize the Word, it’s there when you need it in prayer, ministry to someone, or to encourage you in your own walk. ~ Pastor Jeff

Isaiah 53:4-5 -- Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken,Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
